Author description

Stephen Jones spearheaded the revival of British millinery in early 1980s fashion. Today Jones's era-defining edge continues to attract a celebrity clientele. The roll-call of fashion designers with whom he has collaborated includes Vivienne Westwood, Jean Paul Gaultier, Marc Jacobs, Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garcons and Giles Deacon. Oriole Cullen is curator of modern textiles and fashion at the V&A and author of V&A Pattern: Pop Patterns (V&A 2011).
